Mohd
Nizar Ali
Managing
Director
A founding
member of FirstFloor Capital and has been its Managing
Director since 2007. Nizar has a background in Accounting
and is a designated person representing the Firm as a
venture capital manager with the Securities Commission
of Malaysia.
His venture
capital experience portfolio in FirstFloor Capital encompasses
execution of business planning, fund-raising, legal and
capital structuring, corporate finance, investment recovery,
valuations, merger and acquisitions advisory, listing
and venture capital financing.
On behalf
of FirstFloor Capital, Nizar serves on the board of venture
capital funds namely Inflexion PEF Sdn Bhd and Momentum
STI Sdn Bhd. He also sits in several investment and entrepreneurial
development committees. He facilitates investee companies
in business development and networking to catalyse growth
and importantly to achieve successful exits for the funds.
Prior to
FirstFloor Capital, he accumulated more than ten years
experience in Privatization and Project Advisory services
in Arab-Malaysian Merchant Bank Bhd (AMMB) and Audit and
Business Advisory services in PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)
Kuala Lumpur. His experience in PwC covers a wide range
of industry sectors including oil palm, steel, power,
property, travel, shipping, stockbroking, banking and
technology.
While at
AMMB, Nizar was involved in, among others, the privatisation
of the express rail link project, the privatisation of
the printing and distribution divisions of DBP and financial
advisor to consortiums in several MSC flagship projects.
He left AMMB as a manager in the e-Business Division in
2000.
Tengku Mohd Fahmi
Tengku Hamzah

Director
Tengku
Fahmi joined FirstFloor Capital in 2000, being part of
the company’s founding team. His years in FirstFloor
Capital has seen him involved in all stages of managing
investments including due diligence, investment structuring,
monitoring and reporting as well as exit management. His
role in FirstFloor Capital also entails the execution
of FirstFloor Capital’s business planning, fund
raising and overseeing the company’s operations.
Prior to joining FirstFloor Capital, Fahmi gained his
experience from Deloitte KassimChan in the areas of trading
& services, manufacturing, banking and stock broking
as well as some corporate recovery services. Thereafter,
he joined the Privatisation and Project Advisory Unit
of Arab-Malaysian Merchant Bank covering Internet and
technology business advisory. He also spent a brief period
at Phileo Asset Management in fixed income securities
division extending from short term papers to long-term
bonds.
Fahmi holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance)
from University of Tasmania, Australia. He currently sits
on the board of Holista Biotech Group of Companies and
QH Sdn Bhd which is one of substantial equity holders
of Qualitas Medical Group Limited.
Muhammad Zauqi Abdullah
Executive
Director
Computer
Science specialist with over 9 years experience in technology
investing. Responsible in conceptualizing the Firm’s
investment plans, fund company's and technology investment
roadmaps. Monitors and manage investee companies in terms
of their milestones, media, marketing and technology.
Responsible in identification of key technology trends
and investment opportunities in growth sectors - ICT and
Life Science.
Spent some years as a startup/setup consultant and technology
advisor to smaller firms in governance, HR recruitment,
ISO standards, programming methodologies and expenses.
Over 10 years experience in applied multimedia and education
technology. Involved in the design and implementation
of multiple government and international projects (Philips
Australia CD-i Research & Development, Ministry of
Defence (Mig-29), Malaysian Smart School Management System
& Curriculum and Young Asia Television).
Expertise includes programming, postproduction, multimedia
production & methodologies, training and education
design, internet technology and graphic design. Management
expertise includes technology company set up, implementation
of procedures, human resource recruitment, management
operations and growth advisory.
Zaidah Mohd
Manager
Bachelor
of Arts (Hons) in Accounting and Finance, University of
West England, Bristol. 8 years experience in business
advisory, corporate finance, fund-raising, project financing,
M&A and corporate restructuring.
Zaidah's
main roles in the firm encompass corporate finance, financial
analysis and valuations, portfolio management and Investor
relations.
Experience
includes working with organisations in PriceWaterhouseCoopers,
MIMB Investment Bank Berhad and Kenanga Investment Bank
Berhad. Her PWC experience involved execution, supervision
and heading of various audit and due diligence assignments
for various companies from different industries including
financial institutions and MNC’s.
Her investment
banking career involved corporate advisory in IPO’s,
M&A, take-overs, equity fund raising, equity and company
valuations including corporate restructuring.
Nur Adilah
Executive
Accountancy
from Mara University of Technology (UiTM), Shah Alam.
Work entailed handling and tracking records with SAP systems,
maintaining customer account sales and daily accounting
records and liaise between companies regarding management
or operational matters. Companies include Assembly Services
Sdn Bhd (TOYOTA) and Metro Asea Services Sdn Bhd.
